Brainjogging®: Our Patented Cognitive Enhancement Program

We understand your challenges.

Based on 30 years of experience in education, Shirley Pennebaker, M.Ed., originally designed Brainjogging, a patented computer software program to help train and condition areas of weakness for individuals with learning challenges. These learning challenges are typically caused by deficiencies in processing speed, working memory, attention, or retrieval. Brainjogging is unlike any other program. Many of our clients have tried various other programs before attempting Brainjogging. Those programs did not meet their needs, and they were still experiencing struggles until they began Brainjogging.

What problems does Brainjogging solve OR how can Brainjogging help?

Brainjogging prepares the mind to learn. Although tutoring is useful in helping reiterate previously visited concepts, the brain must first be ready to learn before it can receive these concepts. Brainjogging's creator believes Brainjogging is the BEST solution to increase processing speed and achieve enhanced learning potential, and Brainjogging clients continually confirm this!

Brainjogging can help to:

- Increase attention levels

- Increase long-term memory and retention ability

- Build perceptual and processing abilities

- Dramatically decrease the amount of tutoring, studying, and/or homework time

- Improve motor skills

How does Brainjogging work?

Research shows that the connections between nerve cells in the brain are not static - we can train them to process information with more proficiency. Shirley Pennebaker created Brainjogging to improve this ability to process information. Brainjogging is content-based and personalized. If your student struggles with reading, Brainjogging's cognitive therapists will provide a reading module. If he or she has more difficulty with language, the model used will target the areas of the brain involved in language processing. Focusing on the circuits necessary for specific skills strengthens those paths, so they gradually become more proficient in transmitting material.

The eye movement exercises provide vision therapy and train the brain and eyes to mimic the tasks required for reading. The visual flash exercises mimic the task of copying from the board and boost visual sequential memory and attention. During both actions, Brainjogging requires clients to quickly verbalize their responses to receive auditory feedback and increase processing speed. Each client's database encompasses a working memory module and is customized with a curriculum directly related to their needs and struggles.

Over time, Brainjogging helps train and condition the integration of information through the senses. As the individual's responsiveness grows, the Brainjogging program will respond to "raise the bar," helping support even further advancement.

The WhisperPhone is an integral part of the Brainjogging program. It is a patented acoustical feedback headset worn by the user during all Brainjogging sessions for auditory reinforcement to help support information retention.
